Small Business & Non-profit Operations
From Operational Stress to Scalable Success
Many creative founders reach a point where their success outpaces their systems. You’re doing the work you love, but you’re "flying blind" when it comes to cash flow, personnel management, and long-term strategy. I draw on my experience as a COO and Director of Operations—scaling The Brandman Agency, directing growth for cultural non-profits like Tatter Blue Library, and leading boutique advertising firms—to bring high-level corporate structure to your unique creative environment. I don't just give advice; I build the engines that allow you to focus on your craft while your business grows by leaps and bounds.
The 90-Day Operational Refresh
A three-phase intensive to stabilize your foundation and accelerate your growth.
Finance & Bookkeeping: We start by bringing your books current and up to date via QuickBooks (or your preferred platform) and reconciling all accounts. If you don’t yet have a system for tracking your Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), I will build and implement one for you. By analyzing your margins, I identify your "Cash Kings" and "Loss Leaders" to ensure your business is on the road to sustained growth and profitability.
Business Operations & Systems: A deep dive into your project management tools and internal workflows to eliminate bottlenecks. We audit the digital tools you use daily to ensure they are actually serving your business goals rather than complicating them.
Human Resources & Team Management: I provide dedicated personnel training and help you design automated weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to track cash flow and investment. This includes mentorship for your office manager or bookkeeper to ensure they can maintain these systems long-term.
Company Culture & Space: Facilitating stakeholder workshops to define the company culture you want to lead, alongside a physical or virtual office re-organization based on your current staff and business needs.
Ongoing Partnership: Transitioning into an advisory role with discounted follow-up support to ensure the new systems stick.
The Result: You know exactly where you stand financially, your team is empowered, and you finally have the freedom to be the CEO instead of the "everything-officer."
